I have a lovely guided meditation for you this week, one inspired by a few different thoughts and musings I’ve been reflecting on.
The first thread of inspiration is this weekend’s new moon in Taurus.
New moons are a time of planting seeds and setting intentions. And Taurus is of course a sign associated with the physical… the physical body and the physical world. And this is important, and you’ll notice this thread woven into this meditation.
Because I see this new moon is not just asking you to set an intention, but to bring it down from the ether and into the physical world. To take a grounded step towards what you desire. Taurus is earthy and tactile, and this new moon asks for this same energy over a purely mental approach.
And then of course Taurus also brings themes of patience, of understanding timing, of being willing to work towards a dream with slow, steady and consistent dedication. Taurus reminds us that the most sustainable things are rarely built overnight. They are cultivated slowly, patiently, lovingly over time.
Taurus shows us the wisdom and beauty of tending to our dreams with love and devotion.
This new moon in Taurus is asking for something different than a set and forget intention which is thrown into the hands of the Universe with an attitude of “it’s up to you now.”
This is essentially planting a seed and then dusting off your hands, walking away and saying it’s up to the Universe, or fate, to make sure it grows.
And perhaps sometimes, the conditions are just right, and it so happens that your seed does take root and sprout into life.
But what if you tended to your seed with love and care? What if you watered it, gave it fertiliser, made sure it got sunlight and good soil?
This is co-creation.
And this is what this new moon in Taurus is asking of us.
And this is not about chasing or forcing your dreams into existence. It’s about becoming an active participant in what you desire, rather than waiting passively for it to arrive.
There is a difference between planting a seed, walking away and handing it to the Universe to take care of…….and frantically forcing a seed to bloom, digging it up each day to check its progress and feeling frustrated that it’s not happening on your timeline.
Co-creation exists somewhere in the middle…. neither passivity or force.
It is tending to the conditions that allow something to flourish.
You plant the seed. You set the intention. You tend to it with patience and care. You trust that something magical is unfolding beneath the darkness of the soil. You keep coming back even when there is no visible proof or evidence of growth.
You, your dream, the Universe…. all dancing together under the light of the moon to create something beautiful.
So with that being said, I invite you to carve out a little time today. Pop on this meditation, and once you have moved through this journey, come back and reflect, or perhaps journal on the following questions because there are intuitive clues within your meditation experience that offer incredible insight and wisdom.
The experience you have in this meditation journey is not random.
What did your body of water look like?
For your consideration: Water represents the subconscious, the unknown, the unseen, intuition, emotion. The state of the water in your meditation experience could give you insight into your inner world. Was your water calm, still, gentle, crashing, turbulent, choppy, flowing, murky…. What does this mean to you and how does it relate to your dream or intention?
What did the object you picked up look or feel like? What could this symbolise about your dream or desire?
For your consideration: Was the object heavy or light? Smooth or jagged? Easy to hold or uncomfortable? Small and subtle or large and impossible to ignore? Ancient-looking? Fragile? Beautiful? Ordinary? Perhaps this symbolises the emotional weight of the dream you are casting, or your relationship to it, or the fears attached to it. What is your object telling you about your dream?
What dream or intention are you currently being invited to nurture?
For your consideration: This may not be new, it may be a returning or remembering. Almost as if something has been knocking on the door of your heart for awhile and now you are finally ready to welcome it in.
What ripples might this dream create in your life, and in the lives of others?
For your consideration: In this meditation you were invited to notice the ripples in the water after casting your object. This is symbolic of the ripples your dream or intention could have in your life because of course nothing exists in isolation. Every action sends ripples, for you and others. What are the ripples of your dream?
What is one grounded action you could take to anchor this intention into the physical world and meet the universe halfway?
For your consideration: It doesn’t have to be big, in fact I’d encourage it to be small. What’s important is the intention behind the action.
What would it look like to tend this dream patiently, rather than forcing it to happen more quickly?
For your consideration: Seeds do not sprout as soon as they are planted. You don’t dig them up every day to check if they are growing. You trust. You tend in what you can’t yet see. Can you bring the same approach to your dream? Can you trust its timing rather than rush its growth?
As always, if you would like to share your experience, I’d love to hear from you.
Until next time,
Alice x
